Lapis Lazuli is a deep blue metamorphic rock.  This stone has been coveted for ages, dating back to artifacts from 7570 BC. Lapis is found in limestone in Afghanistan, but also Russia and Chile.  It usually occurs in crystalline marble of lazurite, calcite and pyrite. The metaphysical properties are believed to bond relationships, lower blood pressure, cool and sooth inflamed areas, insomnia, vertigo, depression.  Lapis is associated with the Throat and Third Eye Chakra.
